Through these different areas Craig has been able to work with and see his students reach their goals. Whether this be playing at an elite level or playing to their handicap for the first time. This has also led to Craig being involved with the Jack Newton Junior Golf Foundation and South East Sports Association program as a coach for talented juniors across the ACT and Far South Coast regions.

Joel Shields

Golf Shop Supervisor

My name is Joel Shields, I am originally from Young NSW where growing up in a small town gave me the opportunity to find the love for all sports. A huge rugby league fan (Newcastle knights) I then found my true passion for the game of golf.

Throughout the years of playing many amateur tournaments across Australia my game and knowledge of the sport began to grow and was trending in the right direction to one day make a career in the golfing industry. I joined the fantastic team here at Gold Creek in September of 2022 on a full-time basis as Golf Shop Supervisor where I became the main contact for retail enquiries and stock ordering.

As of 2023 I will begin to undertake my PGA Membership Pathway Program (formerly the PGA Trainee program) under the extremely experienced eye of Gold Creek Country Clubs Director of Golf Craig Smith. I look forward to meeting you all and doing my best to make your golfing experience an unforgettable journey.
